Playing Catch Up - Part 1 - Photo Highlights of 2016

Prior to the previous 2020 Photography Goals blog post, one would assume I hadn't taken any pictures since November of 2015. For my own chronological documentation, since I don't believe anyone else but me reads this, I will play a little catch up by selecting some of my favorite images from the 'missing' years...

January 16, 2016 - We bring home our 8-week-old mini Goldendoodle, Luca.

The rest of 2016 was a flutter of activity! In addition to training the new puppy, we invested in real estate, continued a variety of homeschooling activities, and supported the children's theatre both physically and financially.

What's in a Name? Why Casual Day Images?

Once I made the decision to create a blog devoted to my love of photography, I needed a name.

After spending the better part of a morning trying to come up with a BlogSpot name that was not already taken, I gave up and went for a bike ride. Sometimes, getting up and walking (or riding) away from a problem can give the most clarity for discovering an answer.

About six years ago, I came up with an idea for creating one-of-a-kind jewelry designs using recycled denim jeans. The name I came up with for my line of jewelry was Casual Day Designs.

Upon returning from my bike ride, I typed casualdayimages.blogspot.com into the "Address" prompt of the "Create a new blog" window, and had a winner.

Through this blog, while I wouldn't mind sharing with the world (or anyone who stumbles on this page) my love of photography, I basically created the page for a personal recording of the passion I have for the craft.

I want to resurrect the images that have become buried in the archives of my pictures files as well as be accountable to myself through prompts and challenges to learn new techniques and keep taking Images every Day...nothing formal--just Casual.
