Countdown to Christmas - Photo Challenge - Day 21:ORNAMENT

An angel ornament on my tree is my reminder that my angel mom is with me everyday.

Lately, I have seen several Facebook posts accompanied by various images that have the following sentiment...

"I don't need an angel on my Christmas tree. I already have one in Heaven looking down on me."

I don't happen to agree. I like the angel ornaments on my tree reminding me of the angel in heaven looking down on me.

What's in a Name? Why Casual Day Images?

Once I made the decision to create a blog devoted to my love of photography, I needed a name.

After spending the better part of a morning trying to come up with a BlogSpot name that was not already taken, I gave up and went for a bike ride. Sometimes, getting up and walking (or riding) away from a problem can give the most clarity for discovering an answer.

About six years ago, I came up with an idea for creating one-of-a-kind jewelry designs using recycled denim jeans. The name I came up with for my line of jewelry was Casual Day Designs.

Upon returning from my bike ride, I typed casualdayimages.blogspot.com into the "Address" prompt of the "Create a new blog" window, and had a winner.

Through this blog, while I wouldn't mind sharing with the world (or anyone who stumbles on this page) my love of photography, I basically created the page for a personal recording of the passion I have for the craft.

I want to resurrect the images that have become buried in the archives of my pictures files as well as be accountable to myself through prompts and challenges to learn new techniques and keep taking Images every Day...nothing formal--just Casual.
